Advanced Time Triggers

Boost automations with powerful date and time triggers!

This guide provides instructions on configuring custom automation triggers introduced in the Advanced Time Triggers app.

Installation

  1. Click here to visit the installation page.
  1. Specify the workspaces where the app should be installed.
  1. Click Install.

Triggers

The app consists of two features:

  1. Nth occurrence, with following triggers:
    1. Trigger on the nth weekday of the month at a selected time (UTC)
    1. Trigger on the nth weekday of the quarter at a selected time (UTC)
    1. Trigger on the nth weekday of the year at a selected time (UTC)
  1. Date with time, with following triggers:
    1. Trigger when date and time in the selected column arrives
    1. Trigger before or after date and time in the selected column arrives

The application takes into account time saved in the date column, so actions can be triggered more precisely compared to native monday.com date triggers!

We trigger actions every 15 minutes starting on a full hour. It means triggers can be delayed up to 15 min + processing time. Unacceptable delay for your business? Contact us!

Example

In this example, we will guide you on how to configure the “When Date (with time) arrives” trigger using a preconfigured template.

  1. In the automation center select the “Date with time” app feature

  1. Select a template

  1. You will get redirected to the authorization page, select “Authorize”

You only need to authorize the app once, but monday.com will always redirect to the authorization screen. We redirect you back, but as a consequence, any time you select the advanced time trigger the recipe screen will be refreshed slowing down recipe configuration. We can’t do anything about it 🙁

  1. Select a date trigger

  1. Add the rest of the fields, then click “Create automation”

  1. Add a date and time to the configured column

  1. Wait till the date and time arrive and see the action being triggered!

We trigger actions every 15 minutes starting on a full hour. It means triggers can be delayed up to 15 min + processing time. In this example, action is triggered on 24/10/2024 at 19:15. Unacceptable delay for your business? Contact us!
